Always needed, Always there
As usual the SA Red Cross Society Johannesburg, was there for scholars at Cosmo City Junior Primary School. We helped them with Clothing donated by Jet Stores and Woolworths Johannesburg(CBD) and Food parcels that we bought in past few weeks. Our aim was to eradicate poverty within schools , so that scholars are never hungry in schools. As for the clothing, it's towards Christmas and Children must look smart just like others. Some of the scholars are from poor households and with this initiative we restore their confidence.

P D Naidoo Associates and FNB Trust Save the Day
Always needed, Always there
As we all have known of recent efforts by PD Naidoo Associates and the FNB Trust, on alleviating poverty and helping the needy. From their recent donation made to us during their Annual Golf Day Charity Event, where by a substantial amount was donated to us so as to be able to continue our Humanitarian work.
We bought food parcels that we have been giving to the needy.
It is selfless efforts like these that make us complete, without the support of PDNA and the FNB Trust we wouldn't have been able to help the needy.

Warehouse home erased
Always needed, Always there
I used to live here, thats all she could say, after coming back to see all her belongings turned to ashes.
267 people were left homeless and without household items after fire, tore down an old ware house that was turned into a residential building. This happened in Kew Industrial Area in Alexandra. Almost everything in the building was burnt beyond recognition, luckily no life was lost. As per norm, the SA Red Cross Johannesburg Metro assisted by volunteers from Alexandra helped the stranded victims with clothing items and blankets. it is always a pleasant experience to work hand in hand with our volunteers since they take their valuable time to help us help others. In short we thank them for their commitment to serving the community.
