We helped this nice guy with clothes and food. He came from durban and fell victim to thugs and he lost his belongings.

The SARCS Johannesburg helped restore his dignity by offering help. Today he is a well dressed man, many thanks to our donours and volunteers who make peoples dreams come true. We are here to help without taking sides.

Blankets For Zimbabwean refugees

The SA Red Cross Johannesburg gave blankets to a Zimbabwean Represantative of Refugees. He called and the Red Cross Johannesburg and we answered. Hopefully they will be warm.

BAT Helps the needy

British American Tobacco came to the rescue, when they donated clothing and toys for disaster survivors. It was indeed a good surprise, their donation is intended to help the needy and Xenophobia victims. We are greatful and wish them success, may they keep on giving.

As usuall the SA Red Cross Johannesburg is still helping the needy. We helped women who are striving to live in the city. The SARCS Johannesburg has given to these people most of the times. Not only are we caring for Xenophobia victims, we also care for the poor and other disaster survivors.

City life, not so easy

Ms Delores Diane Beets, Is one of the needy who survive from handouts in the city. She received her groceries and clothing from the SA Red Cross Johannesburg. The Hounorable Rev Jones , chairman of the SARCS Johannesburg, was there to hand out to these receipients.

Blaze survivors thank Discovery Life

Ms Cathy Maguire from Discovery Life should be happy to see that her donation has made a difference. We passed on the goods to the Local SA Red Cross Commitee in Diepsloot. It was part of our relief plan to help the victims of burnt down shacks during the weekend. Not only are we happy but the receipients were overjoyed.

Nedbank helps Diepsloot survivors

In Diepsloot, a quiet night turned into a busy noisy night as two shacks were reduced down to ashes. One of the shacks was completely burnt down to ashes and everything inside was gone within minutes. A family was left homeless and without anything to wear or to eat. We at the SA Red Cross Johannesburg decided to lend a helping hand. We managed to pass the groceries and clothing we had received from the Nedbank head office in Sandton to the local Red Cross Volunteers, for the survivors. It is efforts from staff members. Mr Zyhaan Valoo of Nedbank has been of great assistance to us and the community, his efforts won't be forgotten.
