Wall collapses on homes

Always needed, Always there
A quite night turned into horror when a Brick wall collapsed in Denver informal settlement. It fell on atleast 10 shacks killing two people injuring many. This could have been caused by Sunday night rain in the area.
As most shacks where destroyed, around 30 people were left homeless and as usual the SA Red Cross Society received a call about the incident. Our volunteers and staff reacted swiftly to the situation, We gave out food parcels and clothing to the survivors.
We are currently looking for help with building materials so that we can help the survivors rebuild their homes. All donations are welcome.

The whole flood situation is badly contributing to the exisiting problem of deseases like cholera, their immidiate water supply has been badly demaged....

We as the SA Red Cross Johannesburg, came in with the much needed help, we have helped them with Food, blankets and clothing. All of our aid is made possible by our selfless donors. We appeal to all those who can help to join us in the fight against human suffering.
