The SA Red Cross Society Johannesburg gave more food to the Alexander community. The food will be distributed by SARCS volunteers to survivors of different disasters in the area. This winter we have been called to assist many residents in different areas due to shack fires and other disasters. The occupants of these shacks are always trying to escape the winter chill, instead they end up burning their shacks. The SARCS Johannesburg is always there to answer to their calls for much needed help.

Fierce blaze ravages Alexandra
This Sunday meant doom for some Alexandra residents, as they witnessed all their belongings go up in smoke. They lost clothing and other household items. As usual the peoples friend(SARCS) was there to lend a helping hand, the Red Cross Johannesburg gave the survivors Food and blankets . On the forefront was Mr Lucky Miyambo the local community leader who received the goodies from Mr Banda Of the SARCS Johannesburg. He emphasised on how the Red Cross helped them, at least people who lost everything had something to help them survive the coldness. All these acts of humanity are made possible by our incredible donors and volunteers. This sad event happened at 107-11th Street Kew Alexandra, more aid will still be appreciated.
